Sue Sylvester might be getting a flashy new gig. According to Deadline, Jane Lynch is in talks to host this year’s Emmy Awards. Lynch had an amazing year with constant praise for playing the tough cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on the popular Fox series Glee. If Lynch is chosen, it would be a perfect pick for Fox, who is broadcasting the award show this year. They have no prominent talk show faces on the network, and Lynch has the acting and comedic chops to do the gig right. Lynch won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series last year, and is on track to get the award again this year. The last time a woman hosted the Emmys were in 2005 when Ellen DeGeneres hosted. According to the report, nothing has been set in paper, so there’s a (slight) possibility that Lynch might not host the show, but Fox is pushing very hard to have her on board. Pick her, TV Academy!
