Most Wanted: Teen Wolf Tops the List!

This week, staleness proves strong but there are still some things to look out for. A hit competition series is premiering, and one is winding down to their live shows. Also, a sports series is entering it’s final days (finally!) and a new book has caught my eye. All that and more on the list, down below!

1. Teen Wolf

I’m largely betting on this new drama on MTV, especially since there’s a lacking of scripted programming in the summer. On top of that, I need a bloody show to fill in for The Vampire Diaries. This is MTV’s first scripted drama since ‘Skins,’ and I think they’re being more cautious to market and push this out to teens—to make it less complicated and more twisted and realistic. Let’s hope this ones a hit. Not like MTV needs it too much.

2. America’s Got Talent

The summer’s #1 show is back with a two-hour premiere and it all starts with the (ridiculous) auditions. Last years judging panel is back, which is good. But on the flip side, we have Nick Cannon hosting another year. Great.

3. MTV Movie Awards

Jason Sudeikis will host this year’s ceremony, with Twilight: Eclipse leading the nominations (surprise) with 8, followed by Inception with 7. The Movie Awards has definitely been slacking the last few years, but hopefully they can turn it around if they stop sucking up to teen favorites such as the first film mentioned above. Lupe Fiasco and Foo Fighters will perform as well, so give it a try. 4. Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother – Amy Chua

This new and controversial parenting memoir is one of those books you’ll want to read in one session—it’s that interesting. It’s about how particularly “Chinese mothers” (as Chua often says) raise their children for success in modern society. Why is there a stereotype that Asian kids are smart? Get an inside look at how this mom raised her two very different kids in this very intriguing book.

5. The Voice

The final battle rounds are here! It seems like the coaches have saved the best for last, including a very shocking elimination that apparently left Cee-Lo and Adam speechless in NBC’s promos for this Tuesday’s episode. Also, get ready, because after this weeks episode, The Voice will begin it’s live episodes!

That’s a wrap! Come back next week for a Gleekified (hint!) edition of the Most Wanted List!
