Most Wanted: ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 2!

This week would’ve been a relatively boring one if it wasn’t for such a high-profile return, so let’s be grateful for that! Meanwhile, I added some things that I have been enjoying the last few weeks, and along with that certain high-profile premiere, I have many other premieres (including one that begins today!) So without further rambling, here’s the list!

1. The Walking Dead – Season Premiere

It’s back! I am a little frightful about the show’s future without creator, executive producer, director (pretty much involved with everything) Frank Darabont. Fortunately, most reviews call the shows return a solid start, and I  can’t wait!

2. Nerdist Writer’s Panel

If you ever wondered how TV shows come about (raises hand!) and how to break in the business of television writing (raises hand again!), this is the podcast for you. Ben Blacker hosts this weekly podcast that includes writers from all kinds of shows (recently, they’ve had Parks and Recreation, Justified, and Friday Night Lights writers) and their stories range from funny to gripping and interesting at the same time. Chris Hardwick is a hardworking man.

3. Last Man Standing – Series Premiere

If you’re looking for something that has a stupid, bigoted, homophobic, out-of-touch lead, this is the show for you. Tim Allen stars in what may be the worst new show of the Fall season. Care to watch?

4. The Rosie Show – Series Premiere

Rosie O’Donnell returns to television on Oprah’s OWN, and is Oprah’s lead-in. Shouldn’t there be a reversal in the scheduling?

5. Talking Dead – Series Premiere

Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick hosts his first big-time television show hosting a Watch What Happens Live-ish show recapping the show that airs before it. AMC knows it has a hit on its hands with Walking Dead and they want to bank on it as much as possible. In this case, it’s an “enjoy it while it lasts” feeling for them.

That’s a wrap! Come back next week for another sporty edition (hint!) of The Most Wanted List!

Most Wanted: Apple’s Big Event

This week, is an odd one. For the first time since the list was made, I didn’t post 2 consecutive weeks of the Most Wanted List. I didn’t do it intentionally, but when I realized it, I found it pointless to, because it was already too late. For that, I’m sorry. Although I feel a bit awkward to put out one after a long time, this week is a very eventful and important one. I think you guys know what the first one is. It’s very obvious due to this week’s events. So here we go: here’s the list!

1. Apple’s ‘Let’s Talk iPhone’ Event

It’s that time of year again. Actually, it should have occurred back in June, but a little device called the Verizon iPhone got in the way of that. Nonetheless, its here. Apple is expected to unveil some kind of device, whether its the iPhone 5 or 4S or iPod Touch 5 or all, is yet to be known. What will it be? Tune in at Apple’s press event in Cupertino today for the announcement (note: It will be the first iPhone event without founder and former CEO Steve Jobs).

2. Homeland

I didn’t get the chance to alert you of this show, but this one’s a MUST WATCH! The crazy thing is that this show wasn’t on my radar at all, and it turns out that it’s one of (if not,) the best new show of the Fall. Plot in one sentence: A slightly crazy CIA Agent suspects that a soldier who was in captivity for 8 years has been turned against his country. Two words for you all: WATCH IT.

3. Parks and Recreation

The season is off to a great start, and with last week’s episode full of liquor and Tammys, I can’t wait for what’s in store for TV’s best comedy.

4. American Horror Story – Series Premiere

The reviews haven’t been great, but the fact of the matter is, nothing likethis has been done on TV. Many are calling it scary, bizarre, and outrageous. I’ll watch the first 3 episodes to give it a chance, but I’m very reluctant.

5. iPod

Will the iPod classic be discontinued? That’s another question at Apple’s big event today.

That’s all for this week! Again, sorry for the lack of lists and posts, I’m trying to figure things out to make the s

Most Wanted Special Edition: The Emmys!

10 shows either premiere or end this week on this super-packed Special Edition

Awards season is in full swing and I’ll be having full coverage of the ceremonies LIVE here on JuniorTV! With the Emmys nearing, that also means another thing: Fall TV! Make sure to look further down the list to see a few new shows (mostly from The CW) premiering this week! Because this is a Special Edition, I’ve decided to supersize this week’s list to ten! This is Emmy week here at JuniorTV and it begins with this week’s Most Wanted List! It’s all down below:

1. The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards

TV’s biggest night is finally here! Will ‘Modern Family’ take home the Best Comedy Emmy for the second year in-a-row? Will ‘Boardwalk Empire’ finally end Mad Men’s three-year streak for Best Drama? And who will win the hotly-contested Best Actor in a Drama category?

2. Big Brother – Season Finale

In what could be one of the show’s worst possible turnouts, Big Brother ends up with 1 Veteran (Rachel), and 2 Newbies (Porsche & Adam) in the final three. The next and final question is: Who will win it all? I’ll make predictions on Wednesday, but it’s not looking to bright for the newbies, even as they outnumber Rachel. I don’t think I’ll be fully satisfied with any winner, but I hope and pray that it’s not Adam! Tune in Wednesday to see who is crowned the winner of $500,000!

3. Ringer – Series Premiere

Sarah Michelle Gellar returns to television in The CW’s only hope for a hit show this season. Gellar plays a woman who plays her twin sister in a world completely opposite of her character. Confused? Yeah, so am I.

4. Survivor: South Pacific – Season Premiere

Last year marked ratings lows for CBS’ hit series. Could it rebound this year? We’ll see, as two former cast members return for another chance at a million dollars. I haven’t seen the show in the last few years, but I will begin to watch again, as I need some kind of quality-reality fix throughout the Fall.

5. Real Time with Bill Maher – Season Premiere

THANK GOD HE’S BACK! I need his hilarious insight on politics, especially these insanely boring Republican debates! This is a must-see show for anyone remotely interested in politics.

6. Up All Night – Series Premiere

The star-studded new comedy starring Will Arnett, Christina Applegate, and Maya Rudolph premieres on Wednesday, and with those three, I have to at least give it a chance!

7. The Vampire Diaries – Season Premiere

Will Stefan ever return to his good ways? Will Jeremy keep seeing his dead ex-girlfriends? What about Caroline and her twisted relationships with Matt and Tyler? We’ll get answers, as season 3 of The CW’s best show returns on Thursday!

8. Free Agents – Series Premiere

The other comedy on Wednesday nights for NBC, the Hank Azaria-starring ‘Free Agents’ is about two trying a new kind of relationship: co-workers with benefits. What could possibly go wrong?

9. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – Season Premiere

FX’s long-running comedy is back, and I haven’t seen one episode of it. Since I’ll be tuning in seven seasons late, I’m bound not to get the jokes, but I’m willing to figure them out. This show is a modern cult classic, and early reviews are nothing but raves. Season 7 of ‘Sunny’ premieres this Wednesday on FX.

10. Parenthood – Season Premiere

Season 3 is business as usual for the busy and large family that is the Bravermans. Will this be the show’s breakout year? We’ll see. Many cast members were this close to getting some Emmy nominations.

That’s a wrap! Come back next week where we will see more Fall shows premiere and more on the Most Wanted List!

Most Wanted: Those lost on 9/11

20110907-054722.jpgThis week, I couldn’t imagine adding other things below the anniversary of the most tragic event in our nations history, so there will be only one topic this week, and it will be completely dedicated to those who were senselessly killed on that day and the weeks, months, and years following that clear September morning.

1. Those Lost on 9/11

For many, the sadness of the 9/11 terrorist attacks is still as strong today as it was 10 years ago. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. I always contemplate how scared the entire world was, wondering if more attacks were on the way and eventually finding put that one of the three planes were aiming for the White House. One can only hope that nothing even remotely far from that event ever happens again, because it truly destroyed so many lives, livelihoods, families, and morales. Although I was only seven years old, I remember that day like it was yesterday, and like many in the country, I will never forget.

I will have another post this week about 9/11, and I will also be tweeting during the memorials on Sunday.

Most Wanted: ‘Death Valley’ Kills!

20110829-043559.jpg

This week, we have a good amount of TV shows that are premiering and worth mentioning, as well as a great publication that I’m obsessed about. Also, a celebrity that has people mesmerized and an event that is fast-approaching to teens nationwide. Okay, let’s get to the list!

1. Death Valley – Series Premiere

This show came out of the blue, first debuting it’s trailer during the season premiere of Jersey Shore, and I’ve been all over it ever since. The extremely gory-but-funny comedy has me locked in as a viewer (at least for the premiere) and you should also give it a try. But please—I’m begging you—don’t watch Ridiculousness.

2. The Hollywood Reporter

This incredible publication is the premier destination for Hollywood Insiders and follows the industry like no other. Don’t waste time: subscribe and visit their website! Now!

3. Awkward.

This show is so fantastic, it’s already the best show overall on MTV and is one of the best new shows of the Summer. If you haven’t seen it, you must!

4. Sarah Michelle Gellar

I don’t know why people love her so much (I’ve never seen Buffy in my life) but I’m prepared to love her too. Her appearance at Comic-Con had fans reeling and made them fall in love with her even more. She seems very sweet smart as well, telling from her interview with Entertainment Weekly, which is covered by Gellar, on newsstands now.

Back to School

Can all of us teens yell a very loud and long “Boo” simultaneously? Ugh. Let’s just get this year over with.

That’s a wrap! Come back next week where we will celebrate all the new topics and events coming in September, and A LOT will happen in September on the Most Wanted List! See you then!

Most Wanted: The VMAs!

20110822-071148.jpg

Finally! We’re back to normal. Sorry guys, I took a small break from the site and had some much-needed lazy time. It’s all over now, but it’s cool, because this week’s list is a good one! We have a big award show taking place this week (NOT THE EMMYS!) and some noteworthy shows & flicks, including a sneak peek at a new MTV series, and a funny new comedy opening this weekend. Let’s get to it! Here’s the list!

1. MTV Video Music Awards

The VMAs are here! The hostless event, taking place this Sunday, is sure to please many, as the performing lineup is so broad, you could mistake it for the Grammys. Adele (ADELE!), Bruno Mars (BRUNO MARS!), Lady Gaga (GAGA!), Lil Wayne (WAYNE!), Chris Brown, and Young the Giant(GIANT!) are set to perform, and who knows? Maybe more might perform! Something always happens at this awards show, what will this years show bring? Whatever it is, you’ll find it here!

2. The Glee Project Finale

How perfect was it?! Happy ending that satisfied everyone. It was so great! Go Samuel, Damian, Lindsay and Alex!

3. I Just Want My Pants Back – Sneak Peek

This new MTV series still has a while to go until it officially premieres, but viewers will get a taste of this new romantic drama right after the VMAs. The show is about two young lovers in Brooklyn and their relationship. Will it soar or will it crumble? We’ll find out right after the big show.

4. Big Brother

Another twist hits the Big Brother house as Jeff becomes the first male to win Head of Household, and he (SPOILER ALERT!) puts up Kalia and Porsche. The thing is, if Danielle wins the Power of Veto and saves one of them, she could be put up on the block instead. On top of that, there’s a double elimination this week! So much drama!

5. Pumped Up Kicks – Foster the People

Do I hear the song of the Summer? Yes, this is it. Download it now!

That’s a wrap! Come back next week, where I’ll show my love for an incredible publication, and a hilarious-looking show makes it’s premiere! That’s all for this week’s edition of the Most Wanted List!

Most Wanted: ‘The Hour’ is nearing!

I’m still in safe mode, and I can’t wait for things to go back to normal. Until then, this list will have to (minimally) do. Here’s the list!

1. The Hour – Series Premiere

2. Teen Wolf – Season Finale

3. Big Brother

4. Jersey Shore

5. Katy Perry

That’s a wrap! You can lookup all of these topics on Google News and see what all they hype is about regarding all of them. Sorry about the delay, I’ll be sure to have a full-featured list next Monday! Come back next week for a freshly new Most Wanted List!
