Most Wanted: ‘Death Valley’ Kills!

20110829-043559.jpg

This week, we have a good amount of TV shows that are premiering and worth mentioning, as well as a great publication that I’m obsessed about. Also, a celebrity that has people mesmerized and an event that is fast-approaching to teens nationwide. Okay, let’s get to the list!

1. Death Valley – Series Premiere

This show came out of the blue, first debuting it’s trailer during the season premiere of Jersey Shore, and I’ve been all over it ever since. The extremely gory-but-funny comedy has me locked in as a viewer (at least for the premiere) and you should also give it a try. But please—I’m begging you—don’t watch Ridiculousness.

2. The Hollywood Reporter

This incredible publication is the premier destination for Hollywood Insiders and follows the industry like no other. Don’t waste time: subscribe and visit their website! Now!

3. Awkward.

This show is so fantastic, it’s already the best show overall on MTV and is one of the best new shows of the Summer. If you haven’t seen it, you must!

4. Sarah Michelle Gellar

I don’t know why people love her so much (I’ve never seen Buffy in my life) but I’m prepared to love her too. Her appearance at Comic-Con had fans reeling and made them fall in love with her even more. She seems very sweet smart as well, telling from her interview with Entertainment Weekly, which is covered by Gellar, on newsstands now.

Back to School

Can all of us teens yell a very loud and long “Boo” simultaneously? Ugh. Let’s just get this year over with.

That’s a wrap! Come back next week where we will celebrate all the new topics and events coming in September, and A LOT will happen in September on the Most Wanted List! See you then!

2. Teen Wolf – Season Finale

3. Big Brother

4. Jersey Shore

5. Katy Perry

That’s a wrap! You can lookup all of these topics on Google News and see what all they hype is about regarding all of them. Sorry about the delay, I’ll be sure to have a full-featured list next Monday! Come back next week for a freshly new Most Wanted List!

CORRECTION – News Flash: Jersey Shore opens MASSIVE

20110805-021849.jpg

Many people estimated big numbers for Jersey Shore’s premiere, and those people were overwhelmingly correct. According to preliminary numbers from Nielsen media research, the season 4 premiere of MTV’s Jersey Shore attracted 9.7 million viewers and a huge 4.6 rating among adults 18-49. Even though its likely to be adjusted in the final numbers, it should become the highest rated show of the week.

Story developing…

CORRECTION: Final viewership numbers were just released, and it was averaged down to 8.8 million viewers and a 4.3 rating among Adults 18-49.

Yes, it’s back! Jersey Shore Season 4 Premieres TONIGHT!

20110804-071659.jpg

It’s been 5 months since we’ve had a Jerzday (as Snooki has reworded my favorite “Jersey Shore Thursday” phrase,) and it’s been a rough Summer. But the whole world can stop crying now, because Jersey Shore is back!

This time, the cast hits uncharted territory: Italy! The country where many of them have never been but have talked a lot about in seaside is the home for the hit show’s latest season. How will they fare with the language barrier and cultural differences? How much harder (or easier) are the girls in Italy compared to the states? And where will they work this time? We might now get answers immediately since the show likes to roll out the characters in the premiere episode. One thing I’m confident about is that the show is likely to get big numbers in the premiere episode, and I’ll have those numbers as soon as they’re available tomorrow afternoon.

Jersey Shore premieres tonight at 10PM on MTV.

Most Wanted: Jersey Shore is back!

20110801-062341.jpg

This week happens to be a big one. This Most Wanted list is the most eventful in weeks, and is starting out August with a bang. For starters, one of the biggest reality shows ever returns! Plus, a week dedicated to a certain big fish begins. Also, a big collaboration album, a television convention, and a thrilling freshman finale are all on this weeks list, down below!

1. Jersey Shore – Season 4 Premiere

It’s baaack! The ratings juggernaut that only rivaled American Idol—yes, AMERICAN IDOL!—returns for it’s fourth season, and from the looks of the promos, it could be the craziest season ever. And that’s saying a lot. There will be a lot of the usual (sex, partying, drinking, and fighting) but something that has never happened will occur: fighting between male cast members. That I want to see, especially because Mike (The Situation) will be one of the two fist-fighting. This season looks to be good!

2. Jay Z & Kanye West – Watch the Throne

The long-awaited collaboration between Jay Z and Kanye West is finally here, and two of hip-hop’s finest could set a big first-week sales for Watch the Throne, set to be available early on iTunes this week.

3. Television Critics’ Association Awards

Right before the Emmy Awards season begins to heat up, the Television Critics Association hosts a press tour with many cable, premium and broadcast networks showcasing their upcoming shows. Also, right after their press tour, they also host an award show. No one hypes this broadcast, but many say this is a good indication of who might win at the Emmys, and that’s definitely a reason to watch. All of TV’s finest will be in attendance at the 27th Annual Television Critics Association Awards (TCA Awards), taking place August 6th with host–get this–Nick Offerman (from NBC’s Parks and Recreation

4.Shark Week

Discovery takes great pride in airing this annual event, where the schedule is dominated by programming of the fierce and large fish. Now entering its 25th year, Shark Week never seems to get old to Discovery viewers, and it definitely shook me (refer to this tweet.) Shark Week has takes place all week on Discovery, with new programming airing during primetime.

5. Falling Skies – Season Finale

TNT’s epic new series has been doing pretty great in the ratings, and has viewers hooked in the alien invasion that is Falling Skies. I haven’t seen any episodes beyond the pilot, but I’ve been told that I’m missing out on a very great show. Hope I catch up by this Sunday!

That’s a wrap! There’s tons of other things to look out for this week, like ABC Family’s Switched at Birth, which airs its penultimate 2011 episode tonight, and Oxygen’s The Glee Project, which had a shocking contestant exit last night and will air another episode this Sunday. Also, make sure to watch Big Brother! I keep refraining from saying I’m officially addicted, but I don’t think that can hold on much longer! Make sure to come back back next week for another edition of the Most Wanted List!

2 days, 2 E! ‘True Hollywood Story’ specials

20110727-072908.jpg

It’s been a while since E! aired new specials of it’s long-running documentary series True Hollywood Story, and they seldom air new episodes within months. Oddly, this week will include 2 specials: 1 is brand new and the other is an extension of an old one.

Tonight, E! is giving Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi her own True Hollywood Story in a one hour special that will include friends from the show (Vinny, Sammi, J-Woww) and family members. As I mentioned in my Most Wanted List post, she’s only been on the radar for less than 20 months and has already gotten the THS treatment.

The following day will have the update of the True Hollywood Story of Amy Winehouse. The original special aired back in 2008 and will be updated with important events from that point to her death last week. Speaking of Winehouse, MTV will air a special tribute concert tomorrow at 6:30PM, which includes the late singer performing a concert back in her prime for the cable network.

THS: Snooki airs tonight at 10PM and THS: Amy Winehouse will air tomorrow night at the same time slot.

Most Wanted: Google+ back on top!

20110725-060911.jpg

This week, I have to admit a regretful week, and that was last week. Had I known, I would’ve put Comic-Con 2011 as the #1 thing to look out for. Unfortunately, the dates where screwed up in my head and I thought that the convention would be held at a later date. Still, it was a decent list with Friends with Benefits on top. Why? Because Mila Kunis is AMAZING. Anyway, this week we see a lot of new “specials” and A recent #1 pick come back on top as well as one of my favorite artists ever. Without further interruption, here’s the list! Down below…

1. Google+

Google’s fledging social network has been in a “private field beta” for nearly a month now, and if the reports are true, it should go public by the end of this week. Mashable is reporting that Google will delete all private Google+ profiles on July 31st, and that will also be the date for the public opening of Google+. Whether Mashable is correct in their reporting is still to be discovered, I do trust them, and hopefully Google will open it by this Sunday. Us teens haven’t been able to go on Google+ since Google has put an age limit of 18 to use the site.

2. True Hollywood Story: Snooki

I am still amazed and quite frustrated as to why Chelsea Handler hasn’t gotten the True Hollywood treatment, and even more amazed that after only 18 months of sudden fame, Snooki from MTV’s Jersey Shore has, and that THS: Snooki will air this Wednesday at 10. I’m not complaining though, it should be an entertaining hour, and you have to admit, it’s a pretty crazy story—so it’s perfect for E!

3. Adele iTunes Festival London EP

The 2011 iTunes Festival is winding down, but I’ve already considered it over, since Adele has already attended. Her performance was nothing short of incredible, with spot-on vocals and teasingly-funny banter with the crowd. The songs performed have now made their way to iTunes in a six-song EP, which includes a never-performed cover “I Cant Make You Love Me” and live performances of songs from her latest album, 21.

4. Tabloid

This documentary comes right off the heels of the massive News of the World phone-hacking scandal, and it’s having tremendous success on the critical side. The film focuses on a 70s celeb who falls under the pressure and lights of the paparazzi and tabloids, all while being crazy in love, which ends up destroying her career. As I mentioned before, the film has been getting rave reviews and has a smitten 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.

5. My Birthday

Although I think that this will be the worst in recent memory, I will hopefully have I nice cake and eat the entire thing myself (I love cake).

That’s a wrap! Come back next week for a fresh, new Most Wanted List!
