VMAs TONIGHT!

It’s that time of year! In the words of Adam Levine, it’s the “one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music” as the long-running awards show takes place tonight in Los Angeles.

Performers are seemingly being added by the hour, and it’s an advertiser’s dream: Bruno Mars, Adele, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Jay-Z & Kanye West, Young the Giant, and Lady Gaga. Need I say more? This is going to be a jam-packed show with basically no time to spare. Most of this year’s performers are nominated, and there’s sure to be something crazy. Call me crazy, but I think it will have to do something with Lady Gaga’s wardrobe. How will she top last year’s meat dress? You’ll have to find out tonight when the MTV Video Music Awards airs tonight at 9PM on MTV, and BY THE WAY, There is an all-new episode of Jersey Shore airing tonight before the VMA pre-show. The special post-fight episode of Jersey Shore airs tonight at 7PM on MTV. Also, the sneak peek of a new MTV series named I Just Want My Pants Back will air right after the VMAs.

Most Wanted: The VMAs!

20110822-071148.jpg

Finally! We’re back to normal. Sorry guys, I took a small break from the site and had some much-needed lazy time. It’s all over now, but it’s cool, because this week’s list is a good one! We have a big award show taking place this week (NOT THE EMMYS!) and some noteworthy shows & flicks, including a sneak peek at a new MTV series, and a funny new comedy opening this weekend. Let’s get to it! Here’s the list!

1. MTV Video Music Awards

The VMAs are here! The hostless event, taking place this Sunday, is sure to please many, as the performing lineup is so broad, you could mistake it for the Grammys. Adele (ADELE!), Bruno Mars (BRUNO MARS!), Lady Gaga (GAGA!), Lil Wayne (WAYNE!), Chris Brown, and Young the Giant(GIANT!) are set to perform, and who knows? Maybe more might perform! Something always happens at this awards show, what will this years show bring? Whatever it is, you’ll find it here!

2. The Glee Project Finale

How perfect was it?! Happy ending that satisfied everyone. It was so great! Go Samuel, Damian, Lindsay and Alex!

3. I Just Want My Pants Back – Sneak Peek

This new MTV series still has a while to go until it officially premieres, but viewers will get a taste of this new romantic drama right after the VMAs. The show is about two young lovers in Brooklyn and their relationship. Will it soar or will it crumble? We’ll find out right after the big show.

4. Big Brother

Another twist hits the Big Brother house as Jeff becomes the first male to win Head of Household, and he (SPOILER ALERT!) puts up Kalia and Porsche. The thing is, if Danielle wins the Power of Veto and saves one of them, she could be put up on the block instead. On top of that, there’s a double elimination this week! So much drama!

5. Pumped Up Kicks – Foster the People

Do I hear the song of the Summer? Yes, this is it. Download it now!

That’s a wrap! Come back next week, where I’ll show my love for an incredible publication, and a hilarious-looking show makes it’s premiere! That’s all for this week’s edition of the Most Wanted List!

Most Wanted: Thor Reigns the List!

Image

I am once again deeply sorry for the delay, lots of things have been going on and I have just come around to typing up this list. This week, a major picture that has been murdering the box office internationally will debut on Friday, and it looks like it will make a big splash, just like Fast Five did just this past weekend. Also, and artist, and a show that has been on the list will be on, because they’re both that frickin’ good. Before you start drooling, here’s the list!

1. Thor

The Marvel classic has finally made it’s way to the silver screen and will probably do so with a bang. Critics are raving the superhero thriller, starring Australian actor Chris Hemsworth. If you want an action packed adventure and you need something to watch after seeing Fast Five last weekend, this should be at the GOP of your list, and that’s why it’s on mine.

2. Adele

This Pop/Soul goddess has been ruling my iPod since I added her latest album, 21, in February. Now everyone has gotten to their senses and are hearing her incredible music along with me, with her latest single “Rolling In The Deep” hitting an astonishing #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Yes, THE HOT 100! never did I think that music of this kind would become so popular with so many people, and the news gets even better: She might hit #1 this week!

3. The Voice

The first episode blew the minds of millions, and we’re expecting the same for episode 2, which airs tonight. Get ready! This may be NBC’s first smash hit since the Comcast takeover.

4. ‘Judas’ Music Video

The song may not be so original (sounds just like ‘Bad Romance’ to me) but the video should be a work of art, just like every other Gaga production. The video will debut exclusively on May 5th on E! At. 7 and 11:30.

5. Mob Wives

I never thought I would get into such a trashy show (but then again, I watch Jersey Shore) but this show is so addictive, you’ll be glued to the screen, even though the theme song is horrifically unbearable.

That’s a wrap! Join me next week for a freshly new Most Wanted List!

Most Wanted List: Water for Elephants Premieres!

Image

This week, the film adaptation of a book I had on last weeks list will top this week’s list. Also, a show is returning from a very long break, and it’s performing a song that I’ve been waiting to hear for months! That and more on this weeks Most Wanted List down below:

1. Water For Elephants

Last week was the book, this week is the film. Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon in this romantic drama filled with action, suspense, and a lot of circus animals. The hype for the movie has been overwhelming; did you see the premiere this past weekend? Wow.

2. Glee Returns with Adele’s ‘Turning Tables’

Glee returns after what seems like the longest hiatus ever, and it’s coming with a bang. Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Holly Holiday becomes the first character to perform an Adele song for the show. Gwyneth (or Holly) will sing ‘Turning Tables’ on Tuesday night, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it tops iTunes the following day, while also boosting the original song’s sales.

3. Diddy-fied Hawaii Five-0

I haven’t tuned into this show for a while and I think it’s time to get back to this great drama. You can always count on this show when you need an easy show to watch and be just as entertained as if you were watching a complicated procedural. In tonight’s episode, Diddy guest stars as a detective from New York on the verge of doing something crazy to a crime family. Should be good!

4. Spring Break!

It’s about time. For me, I have 5 days off and I’m ready to chill and relax, aren’t you?

5. Friday Night Lights

Yes, it topped the charts last week, and it’s still on the list this week, why? Because it’s AMAZING. Last week’s episode blew me away, and this week’s episode will do the same. Why not watch the show and put it on the list? It’s just getting started, and it’s just getting better.

That’s a wrap! Come back next week for a freshly-new Most Wanted List!

Jessie J to Perform on ‘SNL’

Image

UK Pop singer Jessie J has been a runaway hit in the UK, but hasn’t shot out in the US as she should, but she will soon as she will be following Adele’s footsteps by doing a performance on Saturday Night Live.

Jessie J will be the musical guest for Zach Galifianakis, who will be hosting for the second time. Jessie J has become a pop sensation in the UK, with her most recent single, “Price Tag” reaching #1 and staying there for 2 weeks in the UK Singles chart until Adele beat her after her performance of her single, “Someone Like You” at the BRIT Awards last month.

Speaking of the BRITs, Jessie J. won the prestigious Critics Choice Award during this year’s ceremony. Adele was the first recipient of the Critics Choice Award 3 years ago. Also, Jessie J and Adele went to the same school together when they were younger. What a coincidence! Zach Galifianakis hosts Saturday Night Live with musical guest Jessie J on Saturday, March 12 on NBC.
